Biofilter Map This project is a wood chip biofilter.  It has been designed to convert nitrate from the drainage water from Bradley Ditch into harmless nitrogen gas.  Nitrate comes from nitrogen fertilizer and is often found in agriculture runoff.  Bradley Ditch drains over 5,700 acres of irrigated farmland.  Water treated through this biofilter will percolate into the drinking water supply and be better for the environment.
