Once the design had been approved, the City advertised for bids for construction. Bids were received from four firms, with Whitaker Construction being selected to build the project. City Council awarded the contract to Whitaker Construction at the July 11, 2016 City Council Meeting. Once bonding requirements were met, the notice to proceed was issued and the pre-construction meeting was held on August 25, 2016.
